Frantics celebrate 30th and release of Frantic Noises CD
10.19.09
The Frantics are back and celebrating 30 years with a lifetime achievement award we’ve given ourselves and a new CD titled Frantic Noises. A compilation of our funniest and most outrageous songs, the album, produced by Emmy Award-winner Tim Burns, features classic tunes such as “Vagina Bound,” “Teddy The Kielbasa” and “Kiss My Ass (I’m a Monarch).”

Known for a while that Wil Wheaton (yes of TNG fame) was a Frantic fan. Here is an interesting exerpt from his blog.

Incredible news for all Frantics fans.
We have uncovered the long lost video tapes of our 'The Frantics Walk Upright, A Journey Through History' stage show. While the original betacam tapes are gone, we did find the editing work print tapes used for editing (a long time ago :-). You can see the time code on them. But, regardless, the show is still incredibly funny. This is the last live show we did before disbanding in 1988. (UPDATE: We have found some of the higher quality tapes and are re-editing it with the gooder stuff.)
We are in the process of creating a DVD of this incredible find. Here is the Vikings Invade sketch. A mere sampler.
